We've learned a few things about adapting to challenge in our 18 years of serving the needs of others! One of the new things we encourage volunteers to do is observe common sense ways to avoid the transmission of COVID-19. When delivering something like a crib or piece of needed furniture to someone in great need, we recommend wearing gloves and a face mask, if you can find them, and then call the person in need in advance, and leave the furniture or other delivered item safely outside your vehicle to observe that 6-foot social distancing. Wave and be friendly, but avoid physical contact...the person you are serving will understand!
It's all part of overcoming Coronavirus together, while still loving our neighbors as ourselves!
With thanks and blessings,
Pastor Michael Douglass, President
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (NIV)
Are you ready to take Jesus seriously?
